This Saturday (11/4) is the last day to register for the Pickett's Mill District Turkey Shoot. This event will include a BB-Shooting contest with prizes for the top shooters at each rank as well as other activities and the opportunity for cub scouts to earn an adventure loop. Concessions will be available.
Registration is now open for the Turkey Shoot and Merit Badge Day event. Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Siblings can all participate in shooting sports. There will be prizes for the top BB-shooters as well as games and crafts. Also cub scouts can work on Adventure Requirements and Boy Scouts can sign up for Merit Badge sessions. Today is the last day to register for the Pickett's Mill Camporee. This campout is October 6th - 8th and is $25. Click the link below to get your boy scout signed up.
Even if you didn't pre-register, you can still join the fun! Register at the event for $7 per child. Come to Paulding Meadows between 12:00 and 4:00 for archery, BB-guns, sling shots, human Foosball, water rockets, crafts, raingutter regatta, slime, giant chess and s'mores.
There will be training for all cub scout leader positions (Cubmaster, Assistant Cubmaster, Den Leader, Assistant Den Leader, Pack Committee members) at the September Roundtable meeting this Thursday (9/14) 7:00 - 9:30 pm at the LDS Church on Ensign Drive. The trainers are asking for a $5 donation to cover the cost of the printed materials. Please contact Jeanine Southall to let her know you will be attending the training so they can have materials prepared for you.
Pickett's Mill District elections will be held at the District Committee Meeting on November 2nd. We will be electing our new District Chair, Vice Chair(s), and Members at Large. Here is some important information about these elections:

The district will host Den Leader training at the September Roundtable meeting on September 14th. The cost is $5.
Participate in a day of Cub Scout adventure at Cub-A-Palooza. This event is open to all new and returning scouts and their families, as well as anyone interested in joining scouts. Just $5 per child if you pre-register. There will be many of the exciting activities that cub scouting has to offer including BB-guns, archery, sling shots, cubmobile, science experiments, crafts and more!
